My great grandfather, William, was born in Germany and came to
America in 1892 when he was just 15 years old. He moved to
Baltimore, Maryland and worked for most of his life in a bakery.
Baltimore is also where William met his love, an American woman
named Lulu. Together they began a family that would grow for
generations, eventually setting the path to my dreams. Today I am
a model for Arrow apparel, the brand that is sponsoring the
"Share Your Story, Save Ellis Island" campaign. I couldn’t
think of a better way to honor my ancestors’ lineage then
by sharing my family story and helping to raise awareness for
this cause.
