My family blended traditions from both the old and new worlds,
creating a life far greater in opportunity. I was born in Naples
and came to America to pursue my dream of becoming an actor.
Years earlier, my relatives had passed through Ellis Island,
bringing their tradition of open hearts and arms. When I came to
New York I was not only welcomed, but also supported by a family
and a country I barely knew.
